Scripted Training Modules
Many trainers don't have the time or the ability to develop three-hour training modules that result in proven success with participants. New Directions Consulting is able to customize scripts for trainers from our proven modules. Our exercises, tools and techniques have been used in the field among all types of participants. The script we develop for each trainer provides them with the background information to deliver the material with confidence in a knowledgeable and organized manner.

Each module includes a CD with the trainer’s script, a PowerPoint presentation,

Fundamentals of Teaming

Effective Meeting Skills
Team meetings must be effective if the team is going to sustain its work over the long haul. This three-hour training builds all the components of an effective team meeting including agenda setting, role definitions, the help/hinder list, and consensus decision-making. Meetings will be transformed during the training session.

Conflict Resolution Skills
Most people grow up thinking conflict is bad. But conflict is a given on teams, especially when members start to express their differing viewpoints. To be successful, a team needs to be prepared for the differences they will experience
by learning the phases of conflict, how to handle each and committing to a team conflict protocol that will see them through the tough spots. This three-hour module provides the team practical tools and labels for behavior that brings about real change. We have found this module to be most effective when trained BEFORE team conflicts occur.

Communication Styles
Teamwork requires that we see value in what different people bring to a task. Sometimes, individual personalities get in the way. Have you ever wondered why you hit it off right away with some people but find it almost impossible to get along with others? The communication styles training module explores various communication styles, how styles interact with each other on a team and how to encourage people to flex to other styles in order to promote improved communication and understanding.
